The Vodafone Vodones
I love these new ads from Vodafone being aired currently during the IPL matches.
Pretty cool animation, some really cute characters – don’t know what they are called – so I’ll call them Vodones. Much better than dogs as your mascot – and certainly a lot cheaper than hiring a bollywood superstar as your brand ambassador. Truely, what an idea, sirjee.

Coming from someone who has dabbled in the ad making world, it is a compliment. One ad which infuriates me these days is the one which has the little girl, asking her dad “am I not pretty?”. And presto… the purchase of a big car makes her pretty. Abominable logic! And absurd too…
They’re called Zoozoos. And they’re very popular on Facebook.
Yes. The ads are brilliant and I’m sure zoozoo toys will be in the market soon. Love em!
BTW, zoozoo ads are not animated (http://www.afaqs.com/perl/news/story.html?sid=23893) , they are real people in a costume. Great efforts involved by Ogilvy here.
